An uncommon and local species, restricted to the western half of the county.
Wingspan : M & F, 28-33mm.
Mature woodland and scrub.
Beard lichen, probably other lichens as well.
Overwinters as a larva on the foodplant. Larva late August-June. Pupates amongst the foodplant.
