A fairly common species, especially in the eastern half of the county.

Wingspan :  M & F, 28-30mm.

Habitat

Mostly open woodland, but also found in scrub and bushy grassland.

Foodplant

Wood sage, white dead-nettle, woundwort and yellow archangel.

Lifestage data

Overwinters as a pupa underground or in the plant debris. Larva mid June-early August.
