Montgomeryshire Status

This species isn't very common and is only ever found in low numbers, but it has been recorded from much of the county.

Wingspan :  M & F, 25-29mm.

Habitat

Broadleaf woodland, hedgerows, parks and gardens.

Foodplant

The flowers leaves and buds of holly, ivy, wild privet, dogwood, guelder rose and hawthorn.

Lifestage data

Overwinters as a pupa. Larva June-July and September-October.
