Wingspan :  M & F, 16-19mm.

Confusion species

Oak-tree Pug and Cloaked Pug.


Flight time (Montgomeryshire)

Habitat

Plantations, gardens and parks.

Foodplant

Mainly Norway Spruce, sitka spruce and douglas fir but also found on other species of conifer.

Lifestage data

Overwinters as a pupa in loose soil. Larva late June-August.
