Wingspan :  M & F, 15-18mm.

Habitat

Mainly in pine forests and plantations or anywhere that pine is abundant.

Foodplant

Mainly Scots pine.

Lifestage data

Overwinters as a pupa in a flimsy cocoon in loose soil. Larva mid June-mid September.
