Confusion species

Chevron, Spinach and Dark Spinach.

Habitat

Rough open places and gardens.

Foodplant

Bilberry.

Lifestage data

Overwinters as an egg on the foodplant. Larva April-June. Pupates in a frail cocoon on the foodplant or in the plant debris on the ground.
