Rarely recorded and found in just a handful of sites across the county.

Wingspan :  M & F, 22-25mm.

Confusion species

Dotted Border Wave, Silky Wave.

Habitat

Woodland, hedgerows, scrub on heathland, downland and gardens.

Foodplant

Little is known about its foodplant in the wild, although in captivity it is known to eat dandelion, knot grass and other herbaceous plants.

Lifestage data

Overwinters as a larva. Larva August-May. Pupates in loose soil.
