Local in England as far as Northumberland and in Wales.

Montgomeryshire Status

Resident. First recorded at Carreghofa, near Llanymynech in the north-east of the county in 2020.

Wingspan :   M & F, 9-11mm.

Dotted Border Wave, Silky Wave, Isle of Wight Wave and Small Fan-footed Wave.

Habitat

Wherever the foodplant is found, especially in areas of limestone.

Various low-lying plants.

Lifestage data

Overwinters as a larva August to May. Pupation site unknown.
