This species is found on higher ground and as a consequence is probably under-recorded. Most recent records have been from Lake Vyrnwy.
Wingspan : M & F, 20-29mm.
Lesser Cream Wave and Cream Wave.
Heathland and moorland.
Heather and bilberry.
Overwinters as a larva. Larva August-late May. Pupates in debris close to the ground or just beneath the surface.
