Resident. Recorded only from the east of the county. Montgomeryshire is at the western edge of the distribution of this moth, and it's consequently an uncommon species for north Wales.

Wingspan :  M & F, 29-33mm

Established woodland with mature oaks.

Oak.

Lifestage data

Overwinters as a small larva. Larva late July-early June. Pupates in a fragile cocoon in the leaf litter.
