A fairly common species throughout the county.
Wingspan : M & F, 32-48mm.
Map-winged Swift, Common Swift.
Often found in gardens, downland, open grassland, woodland rides and other grassy places.
The roots of grasses and many other herbaceous plants.
Overwinters twice as a larva then pupates underground. Larva September-May.
